Job Summary

We are seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant who will provide support to the legal team all while working remotely. A successful candidate will be highly collaborative and dedicated to providing high-quality administrative support to relevant team members, flexible and adaptable, with excellent writing skills and unwavering attention to detail. The candidate must be highly trustworthy and exercise impeccable discretion when handling sensitive information and topics.

Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assist in a variety of day-to-day administrative duties, including tracking legal requests from internal clients, interfacing with internal clients to communicate on the status of legal matters, and managing hectic and complex calendars and deadlines.
Assume key role (under supervision of Lead Legal Administrator) in managing contract event deadlines, using contract management system and internal reporting processes.
Assist General Counsel and Lead Legal Administrator as needed on a variety of administrative tasks.
Take notes, prepare correspondence, reports, and datasheets.
Manage electronic files and other internal data, including coordinating e-signing procedures for signatories, and managing e-sign data.
Prepare, review, edit and proofread a variety of documents.
Keep relevant legal team members apprised of correspondence and telephone calls, and tracking tasks for legal team members.
Assist with contract administration.
Perform executive administrative duties as needed.
Participate in and contribute to special legal projects as needed.
Foster professional, cooperative, and supportive relationships with peers, superiors, and internal clients.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.

Requirements:

Knowledge/Skills:

Strong familiarity with word processing software and spreadsheets, including Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, and Google Docs.
Ability to quickly learn new software functions and features for supporting legal processes.
Excellent analytical skills. Ability to review contracts and extract key timeline information even in the face of ambiguities.
Superior organization, attention to detail, and interpersonal/ communication skills, including strong writing skills.

Education:

Associate's Degree or equivalent preferred. Legal administrative or executive administrative work experience may be accepted in lieu of formal education requirements.

Experience:

1+ years providing administrative support to a legal, technical, and/or executive team.
Additional work experience is also preferred in business and/or legal setting.
