Virtual Math and Reading Tutor
Job Summary
To support students in grades K to 8, the part-time Virtual Math and Reading Tutor will provide engaging online instruction using pre-designed lesson content, focusing on maintaining student behavior and facilitating practice time, while working remotely on a contract basis.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver pre-designed math and reading lessons to enhance student skills and understanding
- Maintain student engagement and behavior during virtual tutoring sessions
- Provide supportive corrections and guidance to foster a positive learning environment
Required qualifications
- Experience in classroom teaching, tutoring, or similar student support roles, with online instruction experience preferred
- Ability to build rapport and create a motivating learning environment for students
- Access to a computer, webcam, and reliable high-speed internet connection of at least 20 mbps
- Reside in one of the specified states within the USA
- A college degree is preferred
