Job Summary

A healthcare networking company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Virtual Medical Coder.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Entering ICD10, CPT and CPTII codes into computer applications
• Verifying and ensuring the accuracy, completeness, specificity and appropriateness of diagnosis codes
• Researching ICD10, CPT and/or CPTII codes and medical terminology

Skills and Requirements Include:

• Attend department training and education meetings as required
• High School Diploma or GED equivalency
• ICD10-CM proficiency required
• Certified Medical Coder with high degree of competence in this area with 2 years experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of ICD10-CM, CPT and CPTII coding guidelines, medical terminology, etc
• Must hold current certification through the AAPC or AHIMA
