Job Summary

A staffing agency needs applicants for an opening for a Virtual Medical Oncology Associate Medical Director.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Providing timely expert medical review for requests
  • Reviewing appeals for denied services related to current relevant medical experience
  • Providing timely peer-to-peer discussions with referring physicians

Required Skills:

  • Current clinical experience of at least 5 years in Medical Oncology
  • Active unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state or territory of the United States as a utilization review doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathic medicine
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws, URAC and NCQA standards
  • Familiarity with automated processes and computer applications and systems
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of clinical practice experience
  • Must be board certified through the ABMS
