Virtual Medical Scribe

Job Summary

To support a busy orthopedic practice, the part-time Virtual Medical Scribe will perform medical record documentation and clerical duties remotely, ensuring provider effectiveness and improved patient flow during shifts from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm Pacific Standard Time, Monday through Friday.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparing and assembling medical record documentation to support healthcare providers
• Entering the patient room virtually to capture and transcribe medical record documentation using electronic medical record applications
• Updating all components of the patient's medical record at the direction of the physician, including clinical information and lab results

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 3 - 6 months of previous Medical Scribe experience
• Previous experience with EPIC electronic medical record systems
• Typing speed of 45+ WPM
• Residency in an approved state for virtual work with ProScribe
