Virtual Medical Scribe

Job Summary

To enhance provider efficiency and patient satisfaction, the full-time Virtual Medical Scribe will perform medical record documentation and clerical duties remotely from approved states, working Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Standard Time.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble medical record documentation to support healthcare providers
• Virtually enter the patient room with the physician to capture and transcribe medical record documentation using electronic medical record applications
• Update all components of the patient's medical record at the direction of the physician, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and HIPAA regulations

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 3 - 6 months of previous Medical Scribe experience
• Typing speed of 45+ WPM
• Ability to work shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours, with availability for a minimum of 6 consecutive months for part-time or 12 consecutive months for full-time
• Residency in one of the approved states for virtual work with ProScribe
