Job Summary
We are currently looking to hire experienced Life and Medical Underwriters to work on a part time basis. These positions will be seasonal positions. The key skill set needed is analyzing medical records and then completing accurate medical summarizations.
We offer part-time flexible work hours (10-35 hours per week) fee-based opportunities working from the comfort of your own home. Fees are earned on a successful per case basis ($20-$25 per completed case summary). We promote career growth, creative thinking, and professionalism.
Skills/Experience Required:
Recent experience working as an Individual Life or Medical Underwriter
Recent experience reviewing medical records and completing medical summarizations
Strong computer skills with MS Office products
Well versed in internet based applications
Proven ability to work independently in a virtual/home office setting
Preferred Experience:
2 years of Health, Life, or Disability Insurance underwriting experience
Undergraduate degree
Completion of insurance related coursework and/or accreditations (LOMA & ALU)
