Job Summary
A non-profit organization dedicated to offering free, online educational content is filling a position for a Virtual Movement Advocacy Community Manager.
Must be able to:
- Share the organization's advocacy agenda with its community
- Increase the organization's ability to influence policy through grassroots campaigns
- Bring volunteer energy to lawmakers to protect and promote open knowledge
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- B.A. or equivalent degree
- 4 years’ professional experience in advocacy campaigns, or grassroots or community organizing
- Demonstrated understanding of internet law and policy
- Knowledge of intermediary liability, copyright, privacy, and/or freedom of expression
- Knowledge of US or EU legislative processes
- Ability to communicate with motivated grassroots volunteers
