Job Summary

A health services company has a current position open for a Virtual Ohio Licensed Utilization Review Specialist.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Prioritizing patient reviews based on situational analysis
  • Conducting medical necessity review of all admissions
  • Understanding proper utilization of health care resources

Qualifications Include:

  • 4 year/Bachelor's Degree; Specialty/Major: Nursing
  • Current unrestricted LPN or RN license to practice nursing in Ohio or compact license
  • Five years nursing experience in an acute care environment required.
  • Recent and working knowledge of medical necessity review criteria experience preferred
  • Current working knowledge of quality improvement process preferred
  • Utilization review/discharge planning experience preferred
