Job Summary
An online non profit media organization is searching for a person to fill their position for a Virtual Associate Editor.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Editing 800-1,000-word opinion commentaries and, on occasion, longer-form content
- Writing headlines and social media posts for edited commentaries
- Evaluating and managing unsolicited submissions
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4 years of experience in an editing/copy-editing capacity
- Well-developed writing ability in US English at a native level of proficiency
- Strong knowledge of world affairs, economics, and public policy
- Passion for news and commentary
