Virtual Part Time Administrative Assistant

Job is Expired
Location: Nationwide
Compensation: Contract
Staff Reviewed: Wed, Jan 03, 2018

Job Summary

Calling all service-oriented A-type personalities! I'm looking for a few great virtual administrative assistants to join my growing team over the next few months. As a VA on my team, you'll work as an independent contractor (if you're not sure of the difference between working as an IC vs as an employee - you need to find out before you apply! See http://bit.ly/2qkAdc7).

You'll be working with our customers - your clients - to lessen their load, help free up their time and allow them to focus on the things that matter most to them. *I am not looking for people who are already working as VA's, but rather, people with great backgrounds who are looking to work from home for the first time.*

Applications will be accepted through Friday, January 12th, and only via the direct link provided (https://airtable.com/shr0m1ikOOjnTZazH).

We're a customer service business - a hybrid between a personal assistant and a concierge service for busy executives - and value exceptional service and a top customer experience above all.

You are:

- College educated, or, in the absence of that, have a minimum of 3 years of office experience supporting high-level executives
- US-based
- Not in need of hours asap - able to grow over the next few months
- Available to respond to client tasks during ET business hours (M-F, 9-5pm)
- Comfortable working with Google Suite applications
- Really organized and enjoy helping others become so
- Able to offer a first-rate, polished, professional / white glove client experience
- Able to commit to forming a long term working relationship with your clients
- Tech savvy - if you don't know a program you can quickly bring yourself up to speed
- A natural problem solver - you don't need someone to tell you how to approach a problem, you'll figure it out!
- Someone with a sense of urgency who can prioritize a lot of information coming at you from various sources - you are driven to get things done, and done well, as soon as possible. You may have other things going on, but being great at your job really matters to you.
- You're an independent thinker who is comfortable providing critical feedback while working with a variety of personalities. If you are uncomfortable being direct and open, this *isn't* for you.
- The details are your thing. You'll read every bit of this long ad, because you want to know it all!

Deal breakers:

- You find a multi-step application process annoying. I believe people are on in interviews and you don't really get to see who they are and what they can do - so the application process is several steps long, to weed out those who aren't quite right, and those who will love this role.
- You are here because you need income asap and are applying just because you need a job yesterday - and are applying everywhere. Please don't. I'm looking for sharp, focused, personable people who really want to provide great service, and who can start at just 5-10 hours a month, and build up over the next few months.
- Your grammar skills are iffy. This is just a no-go. Really.
- You get overwhelmed and flustered easily if thrown into a chaotic situation or have too much coming at you at once. This is that job, often.
- You're not particularly interested in forming lasting relationships. Clients get attached to their VA's. We want people who will stick around awhile!
- You are most comfortable being directed on how to carry out your daily job. This *isn't* the job for you.
- You're really shy or socially anxious. Introverts are fine - I'm one! - but you have to be comfortable hopping on a weekly video call with me and with clients if needed, and being direct and assertive when the situation calls for it.
- You already have a VA business. Please don't apply. This is a position geared towards newbies who need a helping hand starting to work from home. If you're already doing it, you'll find my training and oversight...annoying ;).

Job Description

You'll be working from home, doing tasks that fall under three main categories:

- research
- reservations
- scheduling

Think: Finding the best new tech gadgets, booking and planning travel, scheduling doctors appointments, scheduling a meeting between executives, etc.

Starting Rate:

Training rate is $13.00/hour. Training time ranges from a week to a month - it varies according to the individual. If you are placed with a client, your rate will be $15/hour with regular increases associated with how long you keep your clients or if you learn higher end skills. The person who is hired will start at this training rate. If you're looking for more per hour at this time, please do not apply.

Please note that successful applicants must undergo a criminal background check.
