Job Summary
My client, a global telecom company a leader changing the way communicate, is looking for a Public Relations Manager to join their growing team.
In this role they will craft engaging content, drive PR initiatives, and contribute to the companies continued growth. The ideal candidate will be a high energy, grammar savvy, and visually minded communicator.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in managing all U.S. media relations with business, trade, vertical, and broadcast press, and industry analysts
• Assist in developing media strategies, PR plans, and messaging
• Assist in drafting media pitches, press releases, Q&A, and briefing documents
• Pitch, secure, and attend high impact press and analyst coverage, awards, and speaking opportunities
• Responsible for increasing awareness and further establishing our client as the leader in the universal video conferencing industry
• Responsible for maintaining blog presence and all social media initiatives
Qualifications:
• BA/BS in a relevant field
• 4+ years of high tech PR experience; Previous agency experience required
• High-energy, intelligent, and genuinely passionate about securing high impact PR results
• A proven track record of obtaining high-profile/feature coverage
• Strong existing top-tier business, trade, and analyst contacts
• Highly organized and work well under pressure
• Exceptional writing skills (samples will be required)
• Excellent oral communication skills and be comfortable and confident in all channels of communication
• Tech savvy with an understanding of new media and excellent computer skillso Understand how to organize and store data (documents, videos, pictures, etc.)
o Understand how to install and configure application, save files in various formats (png, jpeg, doc, pdf, etc.)
o Access a FTP server
o Microsoft Office Suite, LinkedIn, GoogleDocs, Twitter, Facebook - all required
o Photoshop, HTML, PHP, WordPress, etc. – A PLUS
o Network or videoconferencing experience – A PLUS
