Job Summary
An online provider of proofreading and editing services is filling a position for a Virtual Proofreader.
Must be able to:
- Proofread for spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and verb tense
- Edit for sentence structure, clarity, and style
- Make comments, suggestions, and requests for clarification on every page
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Have a graduate degree with a minimum of five years of professional proofreading and editing experience or be currently employed by or enrolled as a graduate or postgraduate student in an accredited United States university and have a minimum GPA of 3.5
- Experience with several popular writing styles, such as APA, MLA, CMS, AP, and CSE
- Experience proofreading and editing academic papers in various fields of study
- Must have Microsoft Word 2007, Adobe Standard or Foxit Standard, and Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7
- Excellent Google search skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
