Virtual Reading Tutor
Job Summary
To support students in grades K to 8, the part-time Virtual Reading Tutor will provide engaging math and reading instruction remotely, utilizing pre-designed lesson content and maintaining student behavior during sessions scheduled primarily between 4 PM and 7 PM ET.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver targeted math and reading lessons to students, focusing on skill improvement and engagement
- Maintain a positive and motivating virtual learning environment while providing supportive corrections to students
- Participate in consistent, recurring weekly tutoring sessions, adhering to a schedule that aligns with school hours
Required qualifications
- Experience in classroom teaching, tutoring, or online instruction, with a college degree preferred
- Ability to build rapport with students and create an encouraging learning atmosphere
- Access to a computer, webcam, and reliable high-speed internet connection of at least 20 mbps
- Must reside in and tutor from one of the specified states within the USA
- Availability to tutor most weekdays for at least one hour between 4 PM and 7 PM ET
