Job Summary
A cloud provider has a current position open for a Virtual Senior Observability Applications Engineer.
Must be able to:
- Research emerging tools, trends and methodologies and enhancing existing systems and processes
- Design, write and run the applications
- Work with Prometheus, Mesos, Go, Docker, Kafka, Spark, Elasticsearch, Cassandra and more
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Ability to take an all-expense-paid trip to our HQ to get quality in-person time with the team at least once a year
- Basic fluency with SQL
- Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Go, Java, Python, Ruby, and/or Perl
- Experience building front-end visualization tools
- Experience in metrics and logging libraries and aggregators or message queuing
- Experience with horizontally scalable data stores, configuration management, distributed schedulers, or microservices
