A privately held web design and development consulting firm has an open position for a Telecommute Senior Web Engineer.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Develop complex WordPress plugins and/or themes primarily using PHP
- Mentor engineers and provide code reviews
- Drive strategy and lead back end technical vision for large projects
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Five years experience in back end focused web development
- Intermediate or expert skills in: PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, WordPress, HTML, CSS
- Ability to expertly debug performance and caching issues.
- Code portfolio
- Experience using Git
- Ability to setup a local environment for testing PHP code
