Job Summary
An IT company has a current position open for a Virtual Staff Site Reliability Engineer.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Diagnosing and resolving production issues in conjunction with software engineering teams
- Designing and delivering solutions to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of company services
- Building and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring, and debugging
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Track-record of working cooperatively with software engineering teams
- Understanding of standard networking protocols and components such as: TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, ICMP, the OSI Model, Subnetting, and Load Balancing
- Experience managing a container-based microservice architecture, including orchestration, service-discovery, monitoring, and debugging
- Proficiency in one or more of: C, C, Java, Python, Go
- In-depth knowledge of operating systems (processes, threads, IPC, concurrency, locks, mutexes, semaphores, etc.)
- 6 years of experience
