Job Summary
An IT solutions company is filling a position for a Telecommuting UNIX Engineer.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Analyzing system faults and troubleshooting and running diagnostic tests on operating systems and hardware
- Evaluating and installing software during various phases of testing
- Supporting proactive monitoring of components and systems
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- May include installing and configuring physical or virtual servers (on-premise or cloud-based)
- 8+ years of experience providing technical support to Enterprise networks
- 6 years of experience supporting physical and virtual Linux/Unix-based enterprise servers
- 5+ years of experience supporting Apache webserver in an enterprise environment
- Experience supporting government customers in secure environments
- Experience performing enterprise level project implementation and support
