An information technology company has a current position open for a Virtual US English Phonetician.

Must be able to:

  • Evaluate speech data for dialectal variation
  • Develop and/or improve transcription guidelines
  • Review and produce highly accurate word spelling and phonemic transcriptions

Required Skills:

  • Experience/interest in linguistics, especially phonology, phonetics, dialectology
  • A Degree in Linguistics, Speech Science or related field
  • Native speaker of US English
  • Experience/proficiency with transcription systems
