Job Summary
A healthcare company has an open position for a Virtual Workers Compensation Claims Examiner II or III.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Managing a caseload of 150 to 180 workers’ compensation files, including complex claims
- Initiating and conducting claims investigation in a timely manner
- Managing medical treatment and medical billing, authorizing as appropriate
Skills and Requirements Include:
- 1 to 5 years related experience
- Technical knowledge of statutory regulations and medical terminology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to convey technical details to claimants, clients and staff
- Ability to interact with persons at all levels in the business environment
- Ability to independently and effectively manage very complex claims
- Must be licensed in New York
