Job Summary

An education services company has a current position open for a Virtual Writing Tutor.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Tutoring students via online technology
  • Working with students at various academic levels
  • Supporting colleges, universities, high schools, and individuals

Skills and Requirements Include:

  • Teaching/tutoring experience in English/writing or the humanities
  • Training/experience in one or more of the following:
  • MA or Ph.D. coursework or degree in rhetoric, composition, literature, and/or English education
  • Specialty coursework, degree, or teaching/tutoring experience in English as a Second Language (ESL)
  • Teaching experience in developmental and first-year English composition courses
  • Ability to communicate effectively in an online setting
