Job Summary
Detail-oriented and customer-focused, the full-time Visit Eligibility Coordinator will manage medical insurance verification for patient accounts, determining eligibility and benefits while working remotely from home.
Key responsibilities:
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits six days prior to appointments, including deductibles and co-pays
- Communicate with patients regarding insurance issues and assist in setting up payment plans for outstanding balances
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Five years of insurance experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of Centricity
- Strong understanding of insurance policies and processes
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
