VMware Security Architect

Job Summary

A company is looking for a vSphere Security Architect (Lead) to support a short-term remote consulting engagement focused on assessing and hardening a VMware-based platform environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall security assessment of the VMware vSphere environment
• Evaluate configurations against VMware security and hardening best practices, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending remediation strategies
• Assess VMware networking architecture, including NSX-T, and provide recommendations for security improvements

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with VMware infrastructure and platform architecture
• Strong expertise in vSphere security architecture and ESXi hardening
• Experience with the VMware Aria Suite and infrastructure automation tools like Terraform and Ansible
• Strong understanding of VMware networking and segmentation models
• Ability to perform security assessments and deliver technical architecture recommendations
