Job Summary

A company is looking for a Verification of Benefits Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contact multiple payors by phone to obtain detailed benefit information for behavioral health and substance use levels of care
• Research plan details on payer portals and document benefit structures, restrictions, and exclusions
• Enter insurance benefits data into CRM and report new or changing payor requirements to leadership

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in insurance benefits verification, preferably in behavioral health or substance abuse treatment
• Understanding of insurance benefit structures and verification procedures
• Familiarity with payer phone systems and behavioral health/substance abuse benefits
• Knowledge of CPT codes, revenue codes, and general insurance billing concepts
• Experience with detox, mental health, or addiction treatment billing preferred
