Voice AI Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the architecture and delivery of a production voice AI platform, the full-time remote Voice AI Engineer will design and implement complex patient interaction workflows, manage real-time audio pipelines, and optimize voice-specific challenges in a healthcare setting.

Key responsibilities

• Design and operate the end-to-end voice AI architecture, including multi-agent systems and real-time audio pipelines
• Architect analytics infrastructure for voice metrics and solve unique voice-specific challenges to enhance call efficacy
• Collaborate with product and clinical teams to improve self-service rates and reduce call escalations

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in production voice AI or conversational AI systems
• Deep experience with voice AI pipelines and real-time conversation contexts
• Hands-on experience with telephony systems such as Twilio and proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js
• Production experience with LLM APIs and understanding of ASR accuracy challenges
• High agency and autonomy in driving impactful work to completion without waiting for permission
