Voice AI Software Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance patient access to genetic testing results, the full-time remote Voice AI Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain a real-time conversational AI platform, focusing on voice AI pipelines and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve call efficacy and patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of voice AI features, guiding them through the software development lifecycle and driving technical decisions on optimization
• Plan and prioritize tasks in an Agile environment, collaborating with stakeholders to refine requirements and monitor platform health metrics
• Mentor junior team members and document voice AI patterns and operational runbooks to promote best practices within the team

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience with a focus on scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
• 1+ years of experience with voice AI or real-time audio systems in production
• Hands-on experience with voice AI pipeline components such as STT, TTS, and LLM APIs
• Familiarity with telephony systems and WebSocket-based audio streaming platforms
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and microservice architecture best practices
