Voice Operations Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the reliability and performance of the VoIP and telephony infrastructure, the full-time remote Voice Operations Engineer will modernize the voice stack, drive automation, and ensure high availability while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the health of VoIP infrastructure, including capacity planning and interoperability testing
- Lead incident response efforts, analyze voice quality issues, and collaborate with customer support for escalations
- Coordinate with carriers for provisioning and outage resolution, while overseeing compliance with regulations
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in SIP-based VoIP environments
- Expertise in SIP, RTP, SRTP, WebRTC, and ENUM protocols
- Strong proficiency in Linux administration in production environments
- Solid understanding of IP networking and its impact on voice quality
- Experience with automation scripting in Python, Bash, or Go
