VoIP Engineer

Job Summary

To maintain and optimize a distributed cloud-based voice platform, the full-time VoIP Engineer will manage SIP/RTP infrastructure, troubleshoot VoIP-related issues, and collaborate with engineering teams, with the option to work remotely, in-office, or in a hybrid setting.

Key responsibilities

• Grow and manage a distributed cloud-based VoIP platform
• Optimize and troubleshoot FreeSWITCH and Kamailio configurations for performance and reliability
• Monitor VoIP network performance and implement solutions to enhance quality and efficiency

Required qualifications

• Previous experience as a VoIP network engineer
• Experience with VoIP applications such as Kamailio, FreeSWITCH, and RTPengine
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP networks and related protocols (SIP, RTP, etc.)
• Programming experience with a major language such as Go, Java, or C
• Experience with cloud infrastructure management and automation tools like Terraform and Ansible
