VP of Circular Packaging Design

Job Summary

Leading the development of sustainable packaging initiatives, the full-time VP of Circular Packaging Design will oversee reuse and refill strategies, manage material innovation, and drive cross-functional collaboration to promote recyclable and compostable packaging solutions in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the organization's reuse and refill strategy, identifying priority sectors and packaging formats to meet source reduction targets
• Develop and implement the circular packaging design strategy, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with producers and industry stakeholders to drive the adoption of circular design principles and scalable solutions

Required Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Circular Economy, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in sustainable packaging, material design, or circular economy initiatives
• Thorough knowledge of packaging materials, design strategies, and circular economy solutions
• Experience with Extended Producer Responsibility and understanding of logistics and infrastructure requirements
• Strong leadership capabilities with experience in managing cross-functional teams and stakeholder engagement
