VP of Communications

Job Summary

A company is looking for a VP of Communications to lead and own their communications strategy at the intersection of law and technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive public relations strategy aligned with the company's brand and market positioning
• Oversee media relations and maintain strong relationships with journalists, analysts, and influencers
• Serve as a strategic communications advisor to the executive team and lead crisis communications planning

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) strongly preferred or significant legal experience
• 6+ years of public relations experience in legal, legal tech, or enterprise SaaS environments
• Proven track record of building and executing communications programs that earn top-tier media coverage
• Deep familiarity with the legal industry and legal technology adoption cycles
• Experience managing PR/Social agencies and internal communications teams
