VP of Engineering

Job Summary

Leading the engineering organization, the full-time remote VP of Engineering will set strategy, oversee the delivery of the V2 REST API, and manage engineering managers while partnering with product and operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Set engineering strategy, architecture direction, and standards for code quality, reliability, and security
• Lead and develop the engineering organization through Engineering Managers and implement the pod operating model
• Own engineering KPIs including delivery velocity, system reliability, and defect density

Required qualifications

• 10 to 15+ years of experience in engineering leadership, managing 30-50 person teams
• Experience scaling SaaS platforms in ecommerce, martech, or developer tools
• Strong knowledge of API design and developer experience, particularly with OpenAPI and REST conventions
• Proficiency in modern technology stacks such as PHP, Node, and React
• Expertise in handling large data sets and database management
