VP of Payer Relations

Job Summary

To support a growing organization, the remote Vice President of Payer Relations will lead the payer strategy across commercial, Medicaid/Medicare, and managed care partners, focusing on contract negotiations, reimbursement innovation, and building strategic partnerships to enhance access to specialized eating disorder care.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a unified payer strategy aligned with organizational growth priorities
• Lead all aspects of payer contracting, including in-network agreements and dispute resolution
• Serve as the primary executive liaison for payer relationships, managing complex disputes and fostering long-term partnerships

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred
• 10+ years of experience in payer relations or healthcare contracting, with at least 7 years in senior leadership roles
• Deep expertise in behavioral health reimbursement, particularly in eating disorder treatment
• Proven success in negotiating complex payer agreements across multiple states
• Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making
