VP of R and D

Job Summary

A company is looking for a VP of R&D to lead its research and development department.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and scale the R&D department, including Core, Integrations, and Windows teams
• Own and evolve the technical strategy in alignment with product vision and business objectives
• Mentor engineering managers and guide architectural direction and system design decisions

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a seasoned engineering leader with a hands-on systems or infrastructure background
• Proven experience in building and scaling R&D or engineering organizations in fast-paced environments
• Strong understanding of cloud-native systems, Kubernetes, and developer tools
• Experience with teams working in Rust, C++, or similar systems-level languages
• Ability to thrive in open, asynchronous, remote-first cultures
