VP of Risk and Compliance

Job Summary

Leading the first line control environment for commercial lending activities, the full-time VP of Risk and Compliance will manage credit risk practices throughout the loan lifecycle while collaborating with various departments to ensure adherence to regulatory standards in a hybrid work setting.

Key responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary control leader for Commercial Lending Operations, ensuring execution of credit policies and regulatory requirements
• Oversee control activities to minimize credit and operational losses through adherence to underwriting standards and data accuracy
• Design and implement first line controls and monitoring routines focused on credit quality and risk management

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field; MBA preferred
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial lending, banking operations, risk management, or compliance within a regulated financial institution
• Strong knowledge of middle-market commercial lending products and applicable banking regulations
• Experience designing and implementing first line risk controls and monitoring programs
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
