VP of Strategy and Analytics

Job Summary

Reporting directly to the CEO, the full-time hybrid VP of Strategy and Analytics will transform ambiguous business questions into structured analyses, utilizing SQL queries and data visualization to provide actionable insights and a clear narrative for decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Translate complex questions from the CEO into structured investigations, defining hypotheses and testing data to develop clear narratives
• Write SQL queries and maintain essential reporting on portfolio risk, including delinquency and charge-off metrics
• Synthesize analytical findings into actionable insights for the CEO, ensuring data integrity and clarity in communication

Required qualifications

• Proficient in writing SQL or equivalent programming languages, with a daily hands-on approach to data analysis
• Strong understanding of consumer credit and lending mechanics, including cohort and vintage analysis
• Experience in strategic finance, business operations, or data analysis within lending or fintech environments
• Ability to work independently and tackle complex problems without the need for team management
• Excellent judgment with a proactive approach to identifying and escalating knowledge gaps
