VP Underwriting - US Property

Job Summary

To drive profitable growth, the full-time hybrid VP Underwriting - US Property will manage the underwriting of new and renewal business, build relationships with brokers, and ensure rigorous risk assessment in alignment with the Large Property portfolio strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Building and underwriting a diverse and profitable book of middle market and corporate property business
• Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with appointed brokers
• Applying rigorous risk selection and assessment standards to support strategic objectives and financial plans

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum of ten years of middle market or corporate property underwriting experience
• Experience underwriting global programs and primary layer participation
• Strong broker network within the US commercial property market
• Ability to interpret risk engineering reports for complex and high hazard risks
