vSphere Security Architect

Job Summary

A company is looking for a vSphere Security Architect (Lead) to support a short-term remote consulting engagement focused on assessing and hardening a VMware-based platform environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall security assessment of the VMware vSphere environment
• Evaluate configurations and identify vulnerabilities across compute, storage, and management layers
• Provide architectural guidance and security recommendations for platform design and configuration

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with VMware infrastructure and platform architecture
• Strong expertise in vSphere security architecture and ESXi hardening
• Experience with the VMware Aria Suite and infrastructure automation tools like Terraform or Ansible
• Strong understanding of VMware networking, including NSX-T and segmentation models
• Ability to perform security assessments and deliver technical architecture recommendations
