Vulnerability Assessment Associate

Job Summary

Supporting the organization's cybersecurity posture, the full-time remote Vulnerability Assessment Associate will identify, analyze, and report security vulnerabilities across systems, networks, and applications while collaborating with technical teams to remediate identified issues.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and assess implementations of vulnerability scanning tools and provide remediation recommendations
• Conduct manual validation to confirm vulnerability closure and analyze raw scan data for reporting
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of vulnerability scan findings and analysis results

Required qualifications

• Less than 2 years of vulnerability assessment experience
• Experience with leading vulnerability scan tools such as Tenable, Qualys, or Nexpose
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Understanding of vulnerability identification, scanning, analysis, and remediation tactics
• Knowledge of industry best practices for vulnerability management and relevant security frameworks
