Vulnerability Disclosure Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Vulnerability Disclosure Analyst to provide comprehensive vulnerability intelligence to the security market.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze vendor security advisories and research various sources to identify legitimate vulnerabilities and author detailed entries
• Review new vulnerabilities for inclusion in the VulnDB product and update existing entries with relevant information
• Mentor junior analysts and collaborate with other teams to address customer challenges and clarify technical content

Required Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of security software and hardware vulnerabilities, including familiarity with the OWASP top 20
• Understanding of secure coding practices, cryptography, and authentication protocols
• Knowledge of security and network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, and HTTP protocols
• Experience with scripted languages (preferably Python3) and compiled languages (preferably C)
• Experience with vulnerability exploit development and security assessment tools
