Vulnerability Management Specialist

Job Summary

Focused on securing critical networks and systems, the full-time Vulnerability Management Specialist will monitor CISA cybersecurity alerts, manage security incident requests, and track remediation efforts across mission areas while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate new CISA alerts and track remediation progress on Security Incident Request (SIR) tickets
• Utilize Tenable and Splunk for research, reporting, and data analysis related to vulnerabilities
• Manage the Vulnerability Disclosure Program (VDP) and provide weekly status updates to stakeholders

Required qualifications

• 4-year college degree in Computer Science or related field, or 5 years of relevant experience
• Five years of experience in cybersecurity
• Knowledge of vulnerability management lifecycle and NIST/FISMA guidelines
• Experience with Tenable, Nessus, and Splunk
• Security+ certification
