WA Licensed Component Design Engineer

Job Summary

To support the design and delivery of Reactor Air Cooling Systems, the contract RAC Component Design Engineer (Ventilation) will work remotely, focusing on designing nuclear and industrial ventilation components while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design nuclear ventilation components from requirements definition through final design
• Conduct engineering work in accordance with nuclear ventilation codes and perform fluid and structural calculations
• Prepare engineering change packages and provide technical direction to supplier projects

Required qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university
• 4+ years of relevant experience for Level 9 or 6+ years for Level 10
• Experience in developing ASME AG-1 ventilation systems
• Experience working to quality standards such as ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001
• Ability to coordinate and work within a design team with minimal direction
