WAF Engineering Lead
Job Summary
Leading a team in a full-time capacity, the WAF Engineering Lead will manage the operational performance of WAF services, ensuring a secure posture while overseeing BAU support, policy compliance, and change activities.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze and tune WAF policies to minimize false positives and negatives while maintaining security
- Lead the investigation and mitigation of web application attacks, including OWASP Top 10 threats
- Provide technical leadership for web application security and manage direct reports
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology preferred
- Minimum 5 years' leadership experience in a similar role with direct reports
- Extensive experience in Azure WAF/Network management and Network Security
- Proven experience developing and maintaining custom WAF rules and attack mitigation policies
- Strong understanding of web application attack vectors and bot protection technologies
