Job Summary
Analyzing eligibility for complex Waiver of Premium Benefits, the full-time Waiver of Premium Claims Specialist will investigate, approve, or deny claims while utilizing extensive medical, legal, and policy knowledge, working onsite in Franklin, WI.
Key responsibilities
- Investigates and analyzes complex Waiver of Premium claims to determine eligibility and make decisions on approval or denial
- Orders and reviews medical and investigative information pertinent to claims evaluation
- Communicates with various stakeholders, including insured individuals and medical practitioners, to negotiate and resolve conflicts related to claims
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience, preferably in healthcare, business, insurance, law, or communication
- One to three years of experience demonstrating analytical ability and independent decision-making
- Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with insurance contracts preferred
- Experience handling Waiver of Premium and/or Disability Income claims is a plus
- Ability to work remotely, if desired
