Job Summary
To support the execution of awarded projects in North America, the full-time remote Lead Mechanical Engineer, Methods and Tooling will manage the design and validation of tools for the erection and maintenance of hydropower plant components, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect project information to prepare installation and transport drawings for turbine and generator components
- Design specific tools and perform calculations in accordance with established design practices and safety requirements
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and represent the Tooling Center of Excellence throughout project execution
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Significant experience (over 5 years) in mechanical design with a mandatory US stamp
- Experience in designing lifting equipment and access platforms or substantial site experience
- Proficient in CAD and engineering calculations
- Excellent English communication skills for international collaboration
