Job Summary
In a temporary contract role, a Washington Licensed Coding Consultant will provide expert coding guidance, support coding operations, and drive revenue integrity initiatives while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary coding subject matter expert, offering leadership and real-time support for complex coding issues
- Establish and monitor coding KPIs, driving accountability and identifying revenue opportunities
- Develop and deliver targeted training programs for coding staff and client teams to improve efficiency and compliance
Required qualifications
- Associate's degree in health information management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- CPC, CCS, RHIT, or RHIA certification required
- Typically 5+ years of advanced coding experience across multiple service lines
- Proven experience in denial analysis, revenue optimization, and client-facing consulting
- Strong understanding of end-to-end revenue cycle operations and coding guidelines
