Washington Licensed Coding Consultant

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare practice, the full-time Coding Revenue Integrity Consultant will serve as the primary coding subject matter expert, providing leadership and guidance while working remotely on a contract basis.

Key responsibilities

• Provide real-time support for complex coding questions and establish coding KPIs to drive performance accountability
• Identify missed revenue opportunities and develop actionable recommendations to capture additional revenue
• Design and deliver targeted training programs for coding staff and partner with client leadership to ensure alignment with organizational goals

Required qualifications

• Associate's degree in health information management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• CPC, CCS, RHIT, or RHIA certification required
• Typically, 5+ years of advanced coding experience across multiple service lines
• Proven experience in denial analysis, revenue optimization, and client-facing consulting
• Strong understanding of end-to-end revenue cycle operations and expert knowledge of coding guidelines and compliance requirements
