Washington Licensed Component Design Engineer

Job Summary

To support the ongoing design and delivery of Reactor Air Cooling Systems, the contract RAC Component Design Engineer (Ventilation) will work remotely, focusing on designing nuclear and industrial ventilation components while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Design nuclear and industrial ventilation components from requirements definition through final design
• Conduct engineering work in accordance with nuclear ventilation codes and standards
• Prepare engineering change packages, including calculations, design reports, and specifications

Required qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university
• 4+ years of relevant experience for Level 9 or 6+ years for Level 10
• Experience in developing the design of ASME AG-1 ventilation systems
• Experience working to quality standards on design activities, such as ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001
• Ability to coordinate and work within a design team with minimal direction
