Job Summary

A company is looking for a Counsel for its Payroll & Team Management Suite.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide and advise teams across the product development lifecycle with a focus on payroll and employee-related products
• Provide practical legal advice on various issues including product compliance, privacy, and contracts
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address customer contractual inquiries and ensure compliance with advertising and marketing laws

Required Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school; active state bar membership
• 5-10 years of legal experience, preferably in-house with a payroll or HR service provider
• Deep expertise in product, regulatory compliance, privacy, and consumer protection laws
• Proven experience advising product teams throughout the product lifecycle
• Knowledge of multi-state employment laws and advertising law compliance
