Washington Licensed Design Engineer

Job Summary

To support the ongoing design and delivery of Reactor Air Cooling Systems, the contract RAC Component Design Engineer (Ventilation) will work remotely to design nuclear and industrial ventilation components, conduct engineering calculations, and prepare technical documentation while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Design nuclear and industrial ventilation components from requirements definition through final design
• Conduct engineering work in compliance with nuclear ventilation codes and standards
• Prepare engineering change packages including calculations, design reports, and specifications

Required qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university
• 4+ years of relevant experience for Level 9 or 6+ years for Level 10
• Experience in developing ASME AG-1 ventilation system designs
• Experience in preparing design and procurement specifications
• Familiarity with quality standards such as ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001
