Job Summary

A company is looking for a Hospital Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and abstract accurate diagnosis and procedural codes from various hospital case types
• Utilize hospital encoding systems and resources to ensure data is effectively presented and interpreted
• Resolve coding validation issues and claim edits in compliance with regulatory processes

Required Qualifications and Education

• Associates Degree or two years of college coursework in Health Information Management or equivalent experience
• Experience as a Seattle Children's Apprentice Hospital Coder for at least 12 months is acceptable
• Required credentials include AHIMA: RHIT, RHIA, CCS, or CCS-P or AAPC: CPC, COC, CIC, CRC, CPMA
